Geo's, textures, and repaints

Okay, obviously a repaint changes the paint scheme and the geo is the 3d model for an asset, right?

What does a texture improvement do? I see them in the file library but I don't understand where they fit in between geo's and paint. Quick lesson please?

That is the author's opinion that his re-paint is better than the original. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Then a texture improvement and a repaint basically do the same thing?

eta ~ a repaint is usually for changing the livery and a texture improvement is just a "better" paint in the original livery
