I don't use my Realtek drivers (they are used to drive my laptop speakers and headphone Jack) and the Beats Audio it's joined at the hip with. I rolled back the driver to the stock Windows "High Definition Audio Device" (thus getting rid of both the Realtek and Beats Audio). I did that cuz I prefer the stock HD Audio's flat EQed sound better and for some reason it outputs audio from the headphone jack twice as loud than the Realtek driver did. That is especially helpful for driving the higher impedance of my Sennheiser headphones.
I have "NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)" listed as one of my drivers, but I have no idea when and if it's ever used. It certainly doesn't show up as a playback device.
