That's it. I lowered the pitch of the low engine sound file, and made the transition a bit quieter.

May I ask Aidan if he would be kind enough to add some extra information to the download section on his website for all of us NON-Americans, as I am getting old now and cannot remember what loco the General Electric GEVO Engine Sound is for..... !*roll-laugh*!

Thank you.

Unfortunately you can't open the .bin files with just word pad. You have to use RS or RW Tools. RS Tools still works for Railworks, but limit it to just .bin editing. If you want, you could tell me what repaints you are using and I could get the same ones, and package up the .bin files and send that to you if you would like. I have quite a bit of free time, as you could probably tell. *!!wink!!*

Um, why go to the trouble of editing the .bin files one by one when you can just rename the .wav files? That's how I put the K5LA on my SD70s (though I had to do a little editing to the proxyxml file as well).

Just rename them from:

T_ES44_HW_HornStart_K5HL.wav
T_ES44_HW_HornLoop_K5HL.wav
T_ES44_HW_HornEnd_K5HL.wav

To:

T_ES44_HW_HornStart.wav
T_ES44_HW_HornLoop.wav
T_ES44_HW_HornEnd.wav

The regular proxyxml file should work fine if you do that.

In this case you don't have to edit any of the xml or bin files for the ES44. Like I said, just take the files for the horn you want and simply rename them. The the regular proxyxml file (Class ES44 Horn.proxyxml) should work fine.

I think I understand what simer4 was talking about though. Editing the bin files if you want just a single locomotive to use a different horn. The problem for me is that my locomotive fleet is so huge now that changing them one at a time isn't really a feasible option anymore.
