Unknown GN equipment

Unread postby CPRailfan34 » Sun Apr 19, 2015 3:09 pm

I found some unknown rolling stock I apparently have but they won't show up. I search for them and couldn't find them. The cars go by these names:

GN Boxcar SP1, GN Caboose C-40-3' and GN Reefer R-40-10

They show up in my rolling stock list, and I couldn't pin point where they came from, any help identifying these cars is welcome. Then I can find them and find a way of getting them to show up. !*don-know!*

The caboose is in the Empire builder pack.
That's the one with the very kool interior.

that's odd cause I actually don't own the pack, maybe that's why it doesn't show up. maybe it came with Krenull's sound pack. I can confirm that they are from the Empire Builder pack. I only have the bin files for some reason.

I have that pack and in the Freight folder I have Boxcar-40ft, Caboose C-40 and PFE_Reefers. Nothing with the GN prefix in front of it. I have the Empire Builder Pack 01.

That's what I have in the folder , but it is unknown how I got the bin files for them. The bin files says that the have the GN prefix in the asset list in the editor itself.

I think I may have solved the mystery. It is obvious that the bin file for this caboose that we are looking at describing the WJ sounds are not going to open this mysterious caboose. Further poking around sent me to the Empire Builder pack 2 which has the same caboose with the proper name and all. I first couldn't find it because it was in a .ap file but I unzipped and wolaa there it was sooo if you don't have Empire Builder pack2 that bin you have will not open your caboose. If you have the rest of the stuff (textures,Geo and so forth) I can send you this bin and then it should work.

I only have the BIN files that's it but thanks for the offer, Buzz. I will get the empire builder one day and the bin files I have are from the 1st empire builder pack. hmmm.... just curious Krunell, why did you include the empire builder's boxcar, caboose, and the reefer's bin files?

It's Krellnut and that is because that would probably modify the bin to use his wagon sound. I don't think he did the packaging anyway.
