? Locomotive Addons ?

Unread postby gtrtroger » Tue Jul 01, 2014 11:54 am

(First post...greetings everyone. Looking forward to a new relationship and simulation as I downsize from full time flight sims to rail sims. Hope to be a useful member of the community. That said, my interests lay completely with US Railroads, and thus my joining this forum first and foremost.)

Taking advantage of the recent Steam Summer Sale, I finally dove into rail simulations. I purchased the TS 2014 Steam Edition w/Donner Pass, Marias Pass and Stevens Pass. (I have some interest in the Powder River Coal Mining Operations and in the Bakken Oil Fields. I also am looking forward to the new Norfolk Southern Coal Fields Addons.) My next acquisitions will be purely diesel motive power. The question is, what diesels do I have, and which ones should I get/add given a (+\-) 40 year window?

Best I can calculate, this is what I have. (Of course, I could obviously be wrong and not know exactly where to look to find this out - I'm a noob and that makes sense.)

Dash 9 - Southern Pacific livery
SD70M - unknown livery
GE ES44DC - BNSF livery (x2)
EMD SW1500 - BN livery
EMD GP38-2 - ex-BN and BNSF liveries

? - the GE ES44DC appears to be duplicated as it's included in 2 packages. I presume it's only installed once - right?
? - given the loco's noted, I presume I can download repaints/liveries for other roads for them?
? - is there a way to remove ALL non-US (no offense given I hope) components from TS 2014 to lighten the load?

If I'm missing anything, please let me know so I don't chase my tail .....
Thanks!

Welcome.

To uninstall DLC.

Step 1: Open the Steam Client
Step 2: Go to Library
Step 3: Right Click on Train Simulator 2014
Step 4: Click Properties
Step 5: Click the DLC Tab in Properties
Step 6: Uncheck DLC you don't want. Don't worry, if you need it in the future just check it again and it should install.

!!*ok*!!
