I am working on a project that requires either a bulldozer or a front end loader included in the scene. I found a suitable MSTS bulldozer at TrainSim.com, that I can convert to RailWorks. I have sent an email to the creator requesting his permission to convert it and upload it to the file library here at RailWorks America, and also to use it in my project. I have not heard back regarding the request, and am not sure if the email is still valid, or if the author is no longer involved in Train Simulators.
The read me file with the MSTS bulldozer implies that the downloader (me) is free to use this model in any way they see fit.
Here is the text of the readme file:
"This is the same bulldozer I released earlier, but with a driver added. It will not over-write the driverless bulldozer, so you can have both in your game if you like.
The bulldozer texture is shared with the driverless version so Windows may ask if you want to replace the existing file - you can answer either yes or no - it is the same as the other texture. The driver uses a different texture, which is also included.
I made the models in Train Sim Modeler, using various photos found on the web.
The model has 646 polys - or .06 kujus in Shape Viewer
Installation:
1: unzip to a temp folder with "use folder names" on.
2: go to folder where you unzipped the files and copy and paste the .s and .sd files from the Shapes folder to the Shapes folder of the route you wish to use them in.
3: go back to folder where you unzipped the files and copy and paste the .ace file from the Textures folder to the Textures folder of the same route (as in step2).
4: BACKUP the .REF file for the route (normaly ROUTE-NAME.ref EG: marias.ref) to a safe place.
5: go to folder where you unziped the files to and open "Add2Ref.txt" with WORDPAD (or NotePad if you have Windows XP or later) and copy and paste ALL THE TEXT from the included Add2Ref.txt to the .ref file of the route - REMEMBER TO SAVE IT AS "UNICODE TEXT".
The bulldozer with driver will now be found in the "Machinery" class.
This model and texture is freeware, use and alter as you wish for any non-commercial purposes

The question I have for the community is: Is the readme file sufficient permission to convert and upload the bulldozer into RailWorks America as well as use the bulldozer in my project?
