Operating Systems

I am getting ready to build a new computer and wanted to know if anyone has played Railworks with Windows 7 and how it does. I see in Wiki that it has been tested on XP and Vista but I don't know how up to date that my be.

Thanks you all.

Runs smooth as a whistle. I actually have it installed on an XP 64 partition and a Windows 7 Ultimate partition and the load times on XP were painfully long compared to Windows 7. So much so I haven't touched the XP install for months. The benefit of proper EAX wasn't enough to make me stay.

I run RW on my PC with Vista and laptop with Windows 7. Both run excellent.
Only some problems with the graphics on the laptop cause it has ATI Radeon graphics. I recommend Nvidia (on my PC) graphics for Railworks.
And make sure to have 4000 MB RAM. So everything will work faster, especially games benefit from that. 4 Core Processor is alwas good. !*salute*!
(might get expensive, but I would invest some money so your new PC will be much longer state of the art)

Win 7 x64 on all systems and family's systems. No problems except that my in laws had one printer (they have four mind you) that was so old that HP did not have a 64 bit driver for it... but they upgraded and gave the old printer to charity.

Never tried RW on Vista or XP, it's always been in this Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit system and runs great (well, except for the inevitable "something bad has happened, LOL)

Been running Railworks with Win7 64 bit with no problems.

Pick your pc by the graphics card... it's the most important component in this game.

It runs great for me.
What I have done is to use a hard drive specifically for RW, I use a "basic" W7 x64 in its own partition and RW another partition.

I have had very few problems.

As for the graphics card, I already have a one that I am currently running and it works perfect. I will be using 8 gb of RAM and a hexicore processor so, I should have it covered for performance. Thanks again you all.
