4-4-0 and tender

Unread postby selkirkfan » Sun Jan 16, 2011 11:03 pm

I have just contacted Hawk to see about uploading the 4-4-0 and tender. After the nov/2010 upload I found another problem with the tender couplers and I thought I had uploaded the fix. I must have had a major seniors brain cramp as I hadn't uploaded it.
Before installing this upload please delete the old engine and tender ,delete the CecKerr\Selkirks blueprint .pak also the Kuju\Railsimultor blueprint.pak, reboot and then install the new engine and tender. I have been experiencing a lot of problems getting RW2 to show some upgrades I have made to some bridges and rolling stock. They don't seem to show until I have sometimes deleted the blueprint.paks 2 or 3 times.

The 4-4-0 locomotive still doesn't show up. I got the tender working from my old RailSimulator files yesterday. Reinstalled both new this morning. Still have the tender.

Had the 4-4-0 but no tender a month ago from the Railsimulator install.

The 2-8-0 works greats.

That was Win7-64

Harold

EDIT: Installed 4-4-0 on XP computer. Everything shows up but crashes with the "Something Bad Yada-yada" message when selected.

EDIT: Installed the MCSA 2-8-0 passenger scenario and lo and Behold there is the 4-4-0 in the game, fully functional. I have always felt there is an aggravation counter on computers. Once you hit the right number of entrances and exits thing work

Great locomotives!!!!

The installation seems to put another 4-4-0 in Asset/Developer/Addons/ in a folder Steam. I had crashes trying to place the locomotive in Scenarios. Deleting the cpr4-4-0 folder there fixed the crashing. **!!bang!!** !*hp*! **!!bang!!**

Hi Harold
I can't see how this version or the Nov/2010 version can put a 4-4-0 in a Developement folder. There is no path to the developement folder. If you had the old original 4-4-0 it was placed in the developement folder.Maybe it wasn't completely removed.
This is why it is important to delete all the blueprint.pak files. Although I am starting to think That RW2 has a few quirks that we don't know about yet.I am having problems with RW2 not putting all my bridges in . I can load up RW2 and I find some of my trestles are missing.I replace the trestles then save and get out of RW2 and the next time I go in to RW2 they are missing gain. Go figure

I cleaned everything out so that wasn't the problem. The 4-4-0 worked I went out of the program and went back in and it didn't work. That is when I found it in the other folder. Deleting the other file solved the problem.

It was not in the same folder as the Nov/2010 version.

Who knows, but thanks for the locomotives.
