General questions from a newbie

I have decided not to DL any of the many DLC packages available for RW2. Until I get a little more familiar with the Basic content except for the free DLC available on Steam. I was just wondering if I was on the right track in doing this or is their better easier way to learn the ropes of this Sim so to speak?

And, is all the payware available for RW2 available on Steam or is it spread Internet wide?

Payware is pretty much spread around the Internet.
If you scroll down towards the bottom of the main forum page you'll see a section devoted to payware, listing 4 of the many payware developers.

A fair amount is available on Steam, but lots is spread out on the internet.
