Uploading video

Unread postby kin3 » Fri Dec 24, 2010 9:53 pm

I have FRAPS and Window Media Player. I want to know what is normally done to a video before uploading to YouTube. FRAPS makes an .avi file and I can edit it with Media Player and it creates a .wmv file.

*!question!*

You basically put the FRAPS file(s) into WMM, and convert it(or them) to .wmv to upload to YouTube. If you wish, you can put a series of clips together and put transitions, and titles, and music, etc.

I uploaded one to youtube a few days ago, and I didn't convert it, just uploaded the raw Frapps video as it was. Took a long time to upload though. Perhaps YouTube automatically converts them?

Thanks for the input. I'm new to video editing and all that. Always something new to learn. :D
