Dynamic Braking

Unread postby Shortliner » Tue Dec 14, 2010 9:41 am

Am I wrong in thinking that RSC.com needs to fix Dynamic braking? I ask this because last night as I was running a scenario on Cajon Pass, I notice that all I have to do is push the dynamic brakes to notch 1, wait five seconds and then I get a rapid deceleration. I have never driven a locomotive before, so I'm not sure how dynamic braking works, but it seems like I shouldn't get such a rapid deceleration on Notch 1 of Dynamic braking.

Thoughts?

The dynamic brakes in RS, RW1, and RW2 have and are hosed up. Sometimes you could be running notch 8 in dynamics and also use a little air to hold a train back. i hope sometime they get this sorted out.

I hope they get it fixed too, I love running on mountain routes, and depending on how fast you're going, mountain routes are where you really do need dynamic braking.
