Anyways, I like most of it, I like having all of my information in one section of the screen instead of everywhere. I can now enjoy the view out of the window more often now that it's not blocked by the F3 and F4. However, there is still room for improvement.
1. I really think the new HUD can be streamlined a bit, it's kinda bulky and maybe RS.com has plans to make it more streamlined.
2. The brake levers on the HUD doesn't work with the Dash 9 unit, at least not with the BNSF units, maybe it does with the NS unit.
I love the scrolling map, and honestly it does provide me with information I need to drive my trains. However, I do have two more things.
1. When the scrolling map shows a signal, all it shows is the three colors. It doesn't show what the status of the signal is. Is this a bug that's being worked on?
2. Depending on the circumstances, such as how many locomotive and cars a train have, the gradient of the tracks, the weather condition etc. it can take a mile for a US freight train to come to a stop. Is it possible to get the scrolling map to start showing things a mile away? Like signals, speed limits, stuff like that?
Other than those four things, I'm pleasantly pleased with the new HUD.
