Have you tried the usual: restart computer, local cache verify, etc.

I've had the same issue when trying to get some of my own old assets to work. Fixed it by using another backed up version of them.

Perhaps you're the first to try this function and to discover it's buggy.

I have been building consists for quick drive scenarios without major problems. !!*ok*!!
It is true it takes forever the first loading, more than 5 minutes I think.
I have used those consists even to test mods so I have been building and deleting consists with some frequency.
But I believe I have had no more than a couple crashes in the last 3 months.

What is still a mystery for me is to learn how to find these custom QD consists, when using the scenario world builder.
If anyone can help with this..... !*don-know!*

I think on mine the PONtracks.bin file would always cause my custom consists to crash. Search the forums I know there's other topics about it.

I'm glad some of you have gotten the GUI consist editor to work. For me it has been very slow and crash-prone since inception. Hope maybe DTG fixes it vs adding more partial features sometime.

In the last few month there has been a lot of hassle in Steam forums related with that consist editor and remembering DTG that even the 10 years old consist editor for MSTS is much better and stable than that one.
As of myself I have learned to be patient when building a consist with QD Custom. When I have a loco or wagons with their display image rolling as it can´t load it, I will move the scroll bar to the right and back to left and most of the time I will acquire the image.
What I never do is moving the scroll bar to look at the images of all wagons in long consists. This seems to crash TS. I just add wagons to the back, one after another without trying to check what it is in there hidden from my view. I have built consists of about 80 cars.
I also edit a consist to change the locomotive and maybe a car or two. Yesterday I edited a freight consist with 16 cars with the Berkshire. I deleted the Berk and tender and inserted the FEF-3 and tender, renaming it. It work with no problem at all.
I suppose that some people may be having trouble with that consist editor due to their software, drivers or even hardware.
