Yes, gentlemen. VirtualRailroads - the people who developed the RS11 and many other German trains, are selling their E03 expert line for FREE! :D I was browsing about and found out there was a free offer for it day one...so I just had to pick her up. Thoughts on it?

Truly a work of art.
The design is so 1960s!
Thanks for the heads-up, I would have missed it.

I've already purchased some of VR's "Expert Line" engines, beginning with their BR143, which I found at deep discount in a DLC sale a couple of years ago. These products are, I believe, the grand-daddies of advanced locomotive control simulation in RSC. There's some learning to do, but the experience is well worth it. I wrote a scenario, "Dusseldorf Shunting Duties" featuring the BR143, which includes instructions for operating the engine. It still resides in the library here at RWA (Official Motto: "We never throw anything away!") at this URL: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... :scenarios . For those with patience and will to read manuals, these engines are very rewarding, especially at this price!

VR's RS11 is by far my preferred engine. I've spent hours in it when I swapped it into all scenarios for Colton & Northen.
I'm about to do the same for Ohio Steel 2.

Klingelingeling...Christmas is coming!

As last year and the year before we are all waiting for
this little man with the red coat and the white beard.E03 EL

Before this guy will visit your home, he made a stop at the vR shop to deliver a 115t present.

Yes, a 115t Christmas present.

As last year vR wants to say Thank you for your
loyalty with a free vR package.

All registered customers could download the
E03 ExpertLine package for free starting today,
the 24th December until the 31th December 2014.

So log in to your vR Shop account, put the package
into your cart and download it for free!

Have a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I got a news letter from VR telling me about it. Message above.

I downloaded the .exe file and get this message when I try to open the file:

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running."

Any ideas what the problem is? I have Win 7 Professional 64 Bit. !*don-know!*

Thanks,

Rob :D

Just a couple of suggestions, don't know whether they well work. Download again or run the installer as administrator if not already doing so.

The file isn't being completely downloaded. With about 10 minutes remaining, the download stops.

I tried turning off smart filter in Internet Explorer, but same problem completing the download. !*hp*!

I think the problem is either the website or file being seen as being a threat.

I'm going to try Firefox, and see if the download completes there.

If this helps, I use AVG free anti-virus, and Windows firewall.

Rob :D

Well, with the licencing issues from BN, I bet that's good news for Siemens to expand their product market in The States, their cars aren't bad either and German beer is good stuff also. !*cheers*! !*cheers*!
