Dynamic Brakes on all DTM Diesel Locos No Longer Working From HUD

Unread postby Ericmopar » Fri Oct 10, 2014 12:32 am

I just discovered another loco from DTM that has been affected by the 2015 update.
A person can't use the dynamic brakes from the F4 driver interface on the DDA40X and the SP SD45 now.
I have to think, that the problem is probably affecting all the DTM locos.
I copied over my backups with no success, so I don't think the problem is in the Assets RailVehicles folders.
I still think it has something to do with the core game.

AFAIK, you put the Selector lever in DYN position and apply the red throttle handle in the HUD to use dynamic braking.
The black dynamic brake handle in the F4 HUD can be moved using the mouse while the Selector is in PWR position, and moves the throttle lever on the stand, but has no apparent action.

Must look over the engine.bin, simulation scripts and the InputMapper file to see how it is hooked up. Perhaps the black knobbed handle'd better be removed from the F4 HUD alltogether if it has no prototype function?

The F4 HUD doesn't show resistor grid current anyway, so is not very useful. The minimum value of the Amps ControlValue is probably set to zero, instead of -900 amps.

X2...

The Dynamic brakes on the DTM engines used to work from the F4 "HUD" until the update to 2015. Now you have to hit "k" or "I" or move the lever manually.
Some things in the core game changed or are missing now, that affect some things like headlights (SD75) and the dynamic brake levers (DTM engines) when using the F4 Driver Interface.
I know it's something in the core game that changed, because my backups won't fix those engines.

I've been wondering if this could have something to do with dll libraries.
If not, how does something like this get fouled up from the core game, without messing up all engines.

Also... the resistor grid current is shown on some engines but not all.

There is also a problem with a UK loco and a German one. Both only show red tail lights and not white headlight and marker. Both these were caused by the update. Both have been reported.
