West Highland Line Extension

Unread postby OldProf » Fri Oct 03, 2014 10:40 am

Just got hired as a junior engineer on this line. I'm having some trouble getting used to the local lingo, but having the time of my life driving. Lots of tasks to keep me busy, what with learning the engine's quirks, dealing with tokens, keeping my tea warm on the hotplate, and so on. The scenery's beautiful (when I find time to look at it), and the ups & downs keep me on my toes. When a level stretch is available, I play with the multiple cab views.

I hear they're still hiring and if they'll take on a Yank-I-tie, anybody can get a job. I'll send some snaps soon.

Regards,

Old Prof

Pretty much average for me; certainly much better than those electrified yards in the African route.
