It's not really "in the works " it's just a proposal. I've had one of my proposals on the front page as well. Doesn't mean it's being made.

It would be easy to do. All they need is Horn, Brake, Track and Switch sounds.
An ability to switch cabs would have to be present.
When I first heard of these former engines being used as cab cars, I was dumbfounded. They are incredibly heavy and have no room for paying passengers. Extra weight on the train, with no room for revenue making passengers seems stupid to me. It's just extra wear and tear, and fuel usage for the powered unit on the other end.
I know the prime mover etc is removed, but that still must weigh allot for empty space.
