Yes but we don't know who is contractually responsible for maintain/updating their creations under the DTG "partner programme", so it's a chance.

I have just checked the obsolete SMM signals I am hacking into "glowing and flaring" COARW signals and they are OK under 3D skies.

So far only the Stevens Pass signals have been confirmed? No positive confirmation on that locomotive headlight? StP comes with a BN GP38-2 and BNSF ES44DC, both seem to use the standard Kuju headlights w/o lensflares.

I for one will continue to run the great Stevens Pass Route without the benefit of 3D skies and be perfectly happy up to and or if someone figures out how to fix it.

Just a bit of interesting trivia I ran the VNHRR tonight for a bit which I believe is done by the same suspects (I say with all respect) and there are no visual signal problems there.

Hi,

_o_OOOO_oo-Kanawha, thanks for the PM and the heads-up, I hadn't seen this thread yet. I've emailed Rick about it too, hopefully a solution for this issue won't be too difficult to find.

Cheers

I found a new graphics glitch in the RW&A.
The aircraft warning beacons on top of the Gogebic mine building are also displaying the little black squares. The way they spin is almost cute... !*roll-laugh*!
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

Here's a new one I discovered that is affecting the little connie. The window tint is partly missing. I used a backup that I know is good to try and fix it, because I test drove the same scenario first in TS2014 and the backup doesn't have this problem, but even the backup Smokebox connie has this problem when copied over to 2015. This is with standard weather, not 3D weather. It's another example of a core change that affected things.
This one is Solved. Graphics setting for "Scenery Quality" must be set to it's highest setting.

That looks like a different problem. Compare your screenshot with this one that I took after loading up the Connie in a QD (Cajon Pass, summer, clear, 9am):

In yours, it's as if the "bubble" surrounding the camera is impinging on the glass. Remember that DirectX won't draw anything within a certain distance from the centrepoint of the camera (something that makes it very difficult to place cab cameras when the cab is cramped or crowded). I wonder if your "bubble" is larger than normal. I've no idea what could cause that, but to me it doesn't seem to be a problem related to TS2015.

Hello. Try in a standard scenario with the standard weather, since the TS2015 QD uses the new 3D weather. Ericmopar says that with the new 3D weather does not happen, but yes with the standard weather.

I set up a free roam this time, standard weather (1. Clear) and still don't see anything wrong:

The only thing that does happen is that distant scenery viewed through the windows turns white.

Here you go. Cajon Pass, Quick Drive, Summer, Clear, 9am.
This is a clean install with a cache verification.
My install of TS2014 doesn't not have this problem and I can copy and paste the Connie's folder back and forth with the same results in each version of the game.
2014 okay, 2015 not okay.
Did you just let it update Mike, or did you do a clean install of 2015. I've learned though experience, that clean installs frequently expose missing and or corrupted files in the yearly update.

I've done two clean installs, plus verified the game cache afterwords and this is the result. !*don-know!*

Here it is in my backup of TS2014.
Same time and place Cajon, Summer, 9am, Clear.
If I copy the backup Smokebox folder over to 2015 It will look the same as the above screenshot.

It happens with the 3D weather on my setup, I just meant that it wasn't a new problem specific to the 3D weather, like some of the light problems.

Found it! *!greengrin!*

It's the scenery quality setting.
In the Advanced graphics settings, "Scenery Quality" must be set to it's highest setting now...
Notice how much brighter the view is as well...

This is TS2015, Cajon Pass, Barstow, Summer, Clear, 9am in Quick Drive. Compare this to the screenshot above at the same time and place. !*don-know!*

Well done for finding out what was happening! I didn't see it myself because I always have Scenery Quality set to high :D
