I only ever run my installation off line. I havent been online in a year - just dont trust them. Was interesting to see about this pre-update patch; hardly instills a great load of confidence.

Time will tell...

Thought I had better do am imitation of being pro active this year (I have been on vacation the last few upgrades and get back to do it weeks after release). Downloaded the "pre-update" patch which went fine and then another 180 meg download. No idea just what it was or updated, but went from version 39a to 42.9a. Started TS and all appears fine.

Only a couple more sleeps....

Since I'm "overnight" on the battleship tonight (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) nights, this PC won't even be running until Friday am sometime. I'll keep track of y'all on my little Windows smart phone.

If the sky does start falling, or the aliens do attack and take over, I will be inside the most heavily armored battleship ever built. !*brav*! (tin foil hats not required inside the ship)

A scenery rework of the old NEC would be great, based on those discussions. NJT DLC will help big time.

When TS15 comes out, I wonder how the Hitachi Train will be available as DLC in addition to being bundled with the game. I'm hoping there is new menu music as well, like returning the menu sounds from TS2013.

People can laugh all they want, but I got hit hard last year. I did multiple cache verifies and finally a clean install, which didn't fix anything. In fact the clean install made things worse. I had to wait months for some things like glowing tunnels to be fixed properly and that was only because of the German Guy's shader fix.
Thank you, German Guy... or Gal as the case may be.
Thank you Guy, that fixed the headlight problem on the Donner Engines, that got introduced with 2014.
Thank you to all, except those that didn't participate in fixing it. !*roll-laugh*!

There, all compliments... no one got bashed...

Well, here it is - Today and no sign of the update. :D If only you people would stop living in the past and were currently today, then all would be good *!lol!*

To be honest, after not being at home for the last couple of updates, there is no way I am updating till the gnashing of teeth and the wailing has subsided; so probably next week !*roll-laugh*!

Good luck to everybody...

And so ends my final run in TS2014. Let the change take place.

Well this is the least exciting upgrade for me. The 3D clouds are all I'm looking forward to in the new edition. And even then, I'll have to wait until I own a route that takes advantage of it considering Stevens Pass is the most current route I own. I'll purchase TS2015 when it's dirt cheap and it will give me the NEC: New York-New Haven Route to experience the new clouds. Until then, this free upgrade is essentially a new splash screen for me.

I'm just looking forward to hearing how the new clouds are from you guys. I'm curious what kinda hit the frame rate takes with them.

Anyone who has TS2014 and is planning to buy the full TS2015 package as a cheap way to get content - back up first! A few of us got our TS folders wiped clean doing this last year. A Steam glitch now fixed - so they say.
