Personally, I don't care how they arrange the menus, but it would be nice to have a users' manual that actually explains them . . . as the one they've provided does not.

Yup - I got what I expected so I have nothing to complain about. There appears to be enough complaining about nothing over at ts.com and other sites.

My update went just fine. Not a big fan of the new menu system but I'll get used to them fairly quickly I'm sure. Only thing so far that's a little annoying is not knowing if a scenario is a workshop one and can't seem to rate them after running them. But overall that's a minor quibble.

Best menu system was in 2013

There was possibility to rate scenario immediately (without going to workshop page and back),
and that's the reason that many users don't use rating system at all

and there was option to buy missing rolling stock items, if you downloaded workshop scenario and don't have something to run it.

I don't know reason why both features were removed in 2014.
It seems people who design UI never played game extensively itself

The loading screens always change to reflect whatever new DLC is out or is coming soon.

That's because the loading screens are basically advertisements for DLC. The current DLC is the same so the loading screens are the same.

I had TS2014 and when I went to play the game, it upgraded to TS2015. I only recently found out about the 3 routes that were to be added for free at the beginning of this thread, but I don't have them. What do I do to get them? Also, is there any way to unlock new scenarios or can I only download new ones? They don't show up in Career Mode and that's where I want new ones.

The core of the game updated for free. There was never any free routes. You have to buy a new copy if you want the new routes.

Then it's not really an upgrade. I don't just want the core stuff. I want the routes. I was led to believe I was getting those.

If you were told that you would be getting the routes without paying for them, then you were told wrong. DTG has never said that the bundled routes would be included at no cost.

Have a look at http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... on-and-faq for what you get for free with the upgrade from 2014 to 2015.

That's why I used "Update" instead of "Upgrade". It's pretty safe to assume the DTG won't be giving away free content.

You can get the routes but not for free. Moving from TS2012 -> TS2013 -> TS2014 -> TS2015 it was all the same. The core updates but no new content unless you buy the new version.

No, all the announcements about upgrades have been made very clear since at least Railworks 2:
- Whatever you already have gets upgraded for free.
- If you want new content, you either purchase it separately, or purchase it in whatever discounted bundle is currently offered.

If you buy a copy of TS2015 now, you get a bundle of TS2015 plus some free routes.
It was the same for TS2014 but different routes were bundled.
