Barring that, thought should be given to accessibility. For vision impaired people, there is nothing worse than low-contrast small fonts. It would be great if DTG offered a few choices of menu configs (skins?). There should be a way to at least change the colors!

EDIT:
I could easily open the swf files with JPEXS free flash decompiler.
There are several free FLash editors out there.

Thanks, Chacal. I'll look into that decompiler.

The argument of caring for/catering to the visually impaired is a good and valid one. Esp. in the UK for a company like DTG, whose Railworks game caters to older people IMO. I don't think the typical Konsole Kid is really interested in driving trains on a regular basis and is willing to spend large amounts of $€£ on trains and track.

This is after I made the modifications to scaleform and textures folders, as recommended in this thread.

Rob, there is no need to copy anything from the textures folder. All backgrounds, icons, fonts, etc. are contained in those .swf files which are Flash movies. The Flash decompiler Chacal pointed us to shows that.

I was only interested in swapping the Drive menus.
I think the best temporary solution is to swap these two files for the TS2014 v42.9 versions:

ScreenFrontEndDrive.swf 436,942 bytes
ScreenFrontEndHome.swf 250,615 bytes

Leave all other files in place.

Man, I couldn't agree with you more. And when are they going to do something with those dern fly-outs. Sometimes I have to use a magnifying glass to read them.

Brilliant idea! That way, they would only need to do it once instead of changing it every year and would give them more time to work on the REAL issues.

I had Steam just deliver three new TS2015 menu files:
RS_2013_MenuSystemMaster.swf 2.362.450 bytes
ScreenFrontEndDriveChoose.swf 1.392.866 bytes, the PITA file ...
ScreenFrontEndTSA.swf 1.454.138 bytes

Do these new versions make a difference?

Route selection seems easier, but still not all routes have thumbnails.
