Which routes came with ScaleRail assets?

Unread postby _o_OOOO_oo-Kanawha » Tue Sep 23, 2014 4:19 am

Everytime I do a game verification Steam seems to mess about with the 3DTrains\Scalerail\RoadNetwork folder. Likewise with 3DTrains\Scenery\Vegitation.

Did any of the DLC routes come with Scalerail, roads or vegitation?

Check! I have Ohio Steel 2.

ScaleRail\RailNetwork itself was never used by commercial DLC? I think Ohio Steel 2 uses track that looks remarkably like ScaleRail. *!question!*

Rich Garber's routes use ScaleRail, as does Sherman Hill - the latter in its own RailNetwork folder, however.
Cheers!

Rich Garber's route use a ScaleRail subset in the Allaboard\Trackplans\RailNetwork folder I found out.

I still don't understand why Steam is messing with my 3DTrains\ScaleRail\RoadNetwork folder. All of its subfolders are empty. But there is RascalRoadNetworkAssets.ap file dated July, 15. That asset pack seems to contain all of the ScaleRoad files.

Anyway, after yet another update being pushed and a few rounds of verification today, Steam now says my install is up to date. For the time being, as I expect more daily updates to iron out the kinks TS2015 has caused.

Hasn't Steam/ DTG been selling several of All Aboard's routes for a while now? Might explain the new .ap files with ScaleRail\RoadNetwork files appearing now. !*don-know!*

I don't have the Steam versions of Richard's routes, so I was unaware of the change.
Cheers!

I think they sell all of his routes on steam apart from the Fort Smith one. They seem to be slowly moving everything into .AP format so that could be as already stated the changes.
