So its very odd, when running the game in 64bit the power lever will not move. I set everything right with the selector on (1). on top of that if i move the selector with from off to 1 and back as i pull on the power lever it moves but the moment i let go of the selector the power lever snaps back to idle or locks up both of them... Yet if I run the game in 32bit everything works correctly.

Hi and happy new year :-) Yes I have also this issue, but never looked to deep into it since I am using Raildriver which works fine. But today I tried the original VRC U28 CG engine, which has similar controls. And this works just fine with keyboard controls.
I'll have a look into it if I am able to fix it by comparing the two engine's files, if I can get it to work I'll let you now.

I have the same problem as both of you have. I did contact the creator way back and never replied to my email before they are out of business or decided no longer to provide Railworks stuff. What's a waste of money that I spent this.

Hm just got it to work, since the engines have been slightly modified by STEAM there seems to be some changes in the LUA scripts compared to the original VRV versions. The script from the ATSF U28C works fine with the Chessie U30C, the levers now operate normal running in 64-Bit and the engine loads up.
If you own one of the original VRC engines copy CommonLib-1.1.out over to the STEA vesion.
Don't think I can share the file without permission from Jerry, might try to contact him - he might provide you the file.

I think I did buy it direct from vrc some time ago but I don't remember... I'll have to look at my Gmail tonight and see if it's on my backup hard drive.. If not lol looks like I'm out of luck. What a shame too... The vrc does great work but if no one is there to update the files I'm sure this won't be the only case of things breaking... I just hope nothing goes wrong with the GP40 pack I got right before he closed his website down.

The steam version of the VRC U30C has had an issue in which the throttle won't move if you play the game in 64bit mode. This has made an otherwise very good locomotive, unusable unless you're ok with only running in 32bit mode.

Well, there is a fix for this issue. Just follow these steps:

1. On the Railworks America homepage, click on "File Library" and then "Models" and then do a search in the upper right corner for ( RW&A GP40 and GP30 slug unit ). Or try following this link; ( http://www.railworksamerica.com/index.p ... ide-addons ).

2. Download and install the ( RW&A GP40 and GP30 slug unit ). It will install into VRC/RWA-GP40-01.

3. Now, go into the following folder, "VRC/RWA-GP40-01/LuaLibrary", and copy the file "CommonLib-1.1.out".

4. Paste this file into your "VRC/U30C-Series_01/LuaLibrary" folder and when asked to overwrite, say yes. ( Please backup the original file first, just in case!!! )

5. Make sure to delete the file, "Blueprints.pak" in both your "VRC/U30C-Series_01" folder and the "VRC/RWA-GP40-01" folder, if there is one there. ( Don't worry, the game will make a new one once you start the game. )

6. That's it! You should now be able to run the U30C in 64 bit mode with no problems now.

I hope this helps,
