I'm having trouble with the UP C30-7 reskin on the VRC website for the CSX C30-7 sold on steam. I followed the instructions given by Jerry in the zip file, but whenever I try and place it down in a scenario, it is "broken" and crashes my game:

Also, I would like to make this a separate repaint from the default CSX one if that's possible.

Any help is appreciated!

Is the original OK and you are just having a problem with the repaint? Your question isn't very clear to me.

The kit I downloaded off of the VRC website replaces the original CSX C30-7 (clean). The CSX ones are ok, it's just the UP one that I'm having trouble with.

One time something happened like this when I used the wrong or improper Geometry files. Not sure if that would help you any...

Not sure what a geometry file is, so I don't know. Maybe someone who's successfully installed theirs could send over their copy.

I think he's talking about the .geo file.

The instructions didn't tell me to modify or move any type of geo file, so I'm not sure if I just used the wrong variant? (Although I've read through the installation manual many times and I'm positive I'm using the right one)

I didn't think that this reskin was going to be released. I was part of the beta team on it, and had the exact same issue that you are having.

I hate digging up an old thread, but was this problem ever solved? I just bought the CSX C30-7 to be able to run the UP version, but I'm having the same trouble as the OP...

Nope.

It seems to me there was something back then about the version from VRC being not compatible with the one from Steam. This is supposedly for the one from Steam. Do you suppose it works on the VRC one instead?

I'm not sure. That was the U30C/B controversy I think. The C30-7 was only sold through steam.
