That is a neat variation, and we'll keep all our options open for new stuff. However, two things have to be there in order to make a major model modification: license, and demand. If the railroad won't approve it, and only one or two folks will purchase it, there is not much point in spending months working out a new model.
Cat out of the bag though, I did send off a license application for CN last week. I'm not to optimistic about it though, as we don't have anything ready in CN paint right now, and they really like to see examples of the work before giving permission.

The Pan-am railways might be one to try for, we've got an excellent route for them already and they've given DTG the license to use there logo so they might let you get one as well.

I would love to see an GP40-2LW. Then we could have these:

That's funny because I was just about to start a thread asking if anyone had made a GP40-2LW, and there you are.
I'd like that one too. They're all over the place in my corners of Quebec and Maine.

Those aren't GP40-2LW's. A GP40-2LW is a GMD built locomotive for CN and GO Transit. The LW designation meant lightweight widecab. The frame was a lighter frame than the standard gp40 and 2" taller too. This was done to accommodatea 3000 gallon fuel tank rather than the sstandard 2300 gallon tank that gp40's got. CN had both GP40-2LW's and regular GP40-2W's
