That's how I've done it too, figuring that in real life it would wear out and heat up the brake shoes.

But of course in the sim itself, every locomotive has a different amount of minimum application it seems like so that can be tough to do.

With Jerry and Is level standards everything should start to become standard across the board. My issue with TS is that dynos either feel anemic or like you just tossed an anchor.

Yeah, the really hard thing is finding good data on dynamic braking curves for locomotives to put into the .csv. It's pretty much non-existent. Heck, braking values as a whole are hard to come by and thus the reason it varies so much across the sim.

I don't know if I am out of topic here, but where to find information about dynamic brakes performance. There are members that seem to get values for those curves and I don't know if these values come from publications or are just to make feel well the loco behaviour.

You can find some in the the locomotive's manual, however not every manual includes a chart.

Are these manuals available in Internet?

That's an in game setting we need to honor.

Essentially, the simple mode might be where the startup procedure is done by the game itself, I think there is a VRC locomotive that has that function scripted in just like many VirtualRailroads ExpertLine products.

Not every single one but quite a few of them are available: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/manual/manual.html Many others are often put up for sale on ebay if you're looking for a specific manual.

Hi all

Regarding the dark tinted Windows of the U30C - felt too dark for me too, so I altered the texture alpha to ne more translucent Jerry, think you are the creator/ one of the creators of this Fine loco, would you mind if I place this altered texture in file library?

Cheers

If it is just the texture for the windows, I don't see that there would be a problem with that. I used to do the same thing to RSC locomotives, only in the other direction. I cannot stand for the cab to look like it should glow in the dark - in the daytime.

Hello Everyone!
I have two questions for anyone that can answer them for the VRC U30C addon.

1) I once had the Conrail Re-skin for this engine, but I recently had re-verify my TS17 add-ons and lost the re-skin. Before the pre-remodel of VRC's website it was available, but not anymore. I would like the reacquire the Conrail re-skin, if possible. It brings back some childhood memories for me.

2) Just wanted to ask this question, if there a blank re-skin file of the U30C that are available?

Sincerely,
Goldeneye48

A verify operation won't do anything to 3rd-party reskins. Your files are there somewhere.
Also, didn't you keep the downloaded files from the VRC site?

AS for a back-up of the files, I though I backed up the original installation file. Did a quick glance and it looks like I didn't back up that file. That's why I'm asking if anyone has the zip file for this re-skin.
