RW&A Brewster Sub

Just for fun I decided to give route building a try and make a new sub for the RW&A! This new Sub features A small town very close to Waterton. I don't really have a name for it other than Little Lake (because of the little lake beside it :D). Little Lake or LL as I'll now refer to is as has only 1 industry which RW&A services which is a Furniture plant. There will also be a bigger city close to the Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula track, it will have a rather large station (because of the size of the city, about the same or bigger than Waterton) with maybe 6-10 industries, almost done the planning for the city (which also needs a name).

Here is LL, still needs some work but this is about 4-5 hours of pretty slow work.

This is the furniture plant, lumber gets dropped of and the completed furniture gets shipped out by boxcar.

These are just a couple photos of LL.

This is what the full line looks like.

I'm planning to use mainly the assets from:
Original RW&A route
RCAP
Portland terminal
Pacific Surfliner(Only needed beach umbrellas, no biggie if you don't have it)

If someone can come up with some names for the city and LL, or do you like the name Little Lake?
More screenshots coming soon!

Have fun!

So, if I don't have Pacific Surfliner the beach will be covered with milk bottles instead of umbrellas?

Think of it as the dairy farmers are pulling a prank on the town.

For the most part LL is finished, just a bit more scenic detail and I'll call it finished. The platform in the big city will be quite large and can hold maybe 3 cars so I might add a track to use the big station at Waterton.

Maybe 10 minutes of work in the big city, I'll finish this next then work on scenic detail in between the town and the city

Would people like it if I continued with this? I'll keep little lake for the little towns name but the city needs a name still.

I've worked a little more on the city, still a lot more work needed though.

This is a lumber storage place that is the main supplier for the furniture factory in LL

I added this connection to the WUP so the size of the station could be justified, Do you like it or should I try something different?

If you guys think I should continue with this I'll make up some stories for RW&A expanding to LL and the city.

Keep going.
Don't wait for people's approval, what matters is whether YOU like it.

Concerning LL, why don't you call the town, "Little's Lake", named after the founding family, The Little's. (Just a thought) Agree with Chacal, if you're happy keep going. Possible name for the town; Sharon Springs, Chesterville, Berne, Warrensburg, Brewster, Crawford, Lake City.

I think I'll go with Brewster for the city's name (reminds me of Unstoppable :p) I'll keep going with it and hopefully have the city done in a couple days.

Brewster...hmmmmm, sounds like it could possibly have some breweries there? That would make things interesting and add a new type of industry!

I'm with ya on that *!lol!* I based this brewery off a drawing of the old (really old) Sleeman brewery in my hometown.

I haven't been working on this much because of a heat issue with my computer :( . I've done a little tonight adding a scrap yard in Brewster and a large cattle farm just outside the city. I'll try and get some work in tomorrow and maybe think of the story behind LL and Brewster.

The cattle farm:

Here is what the track looks like around Brewster right now. It will probably look different when I'm done.

Watching these extensions to the RW&A develop is interesting. This one is indicated as a donation ware project; will donations go to RWA?

This will be totally free, I'm just having some fun building a small extension. To the RW&A. When I'm done I'll upload it to the file library.

Does anyone have a business they would like to see in here? I need a couple more and don't have many ideas, thanks.
