I believe the Siding Markers and names are there but just not listed, however you do that in the Route. Thanks for the information and suggestion. See learned another thing.

OK another thing I ran across while fixing this up was a lot of the siding names had a space as the first character, this put them in a different place in the listings. Make sure I did not miss something and scroll all the way through the listings.

Not sure, but you can place your own siding markers in the scenario if there are none there. When you do that they are part of the scenario, not the route.

And that's exactly how a route ought to be set up . . . with scenario writers in mind. !*brav*!

I don't think so. That is not the way most routes are set up. Using the Places Drop Down Menu you should be able to go from place to place. Makes it easier to place item in a location. That way you don't have to use the Shift and Arrow Keys to follow the Track to where you want to go. Yes, it is no big thing to some but makes it easier is all I am saying. No disrespect intended.

OH!! Your talking about the GPS markers to fly around the route. I thought you were looking for sidings in the actions are like to drop off at. The GPR markers are part of the route. The route author has to make those. They reside in a folder call RouteMarkers in the route's main asset structure. Where its weather, and template and enviroment are.

Yes Mr. Bob. I finally said the correct thing. Since I am Route development deficient and don't think I want to screw with things I don't understand. I will wait and see if the Route God waves the Magic Wand and they appear. Thanks as always.

Hi, gang. I'm posting about a missing asset problem I'm having with the LSW Extension. I installed the LSW Vegetation Patch and tried to see what it added to the route. I'm running the Hermantown Run scenario and when I get to the first platform I see milk bottles:

2015-06-27_00001.jpg

I didn't have the Fort Heavener or D&S routes, so I bought those. No joy.
Using the World Editor I identified them as VNHRR assets, a station building and a freight package of some sort. I've had the VNHRR since the 0.9 release and I have the latest update.
Here's what I've tried:
Uninstalling the LSW Vegetation Patch
Uninstalling the RW&A Lakeside and reinstalling
Uninstalling and reinstalling the VNHRR from the latest download file
I can't find out how to uninstall the LSW Extension update.
RW_Tools identifies them as required in the correct location and does not ID them as missing.
All the routes in the required list operate normally in TS2015, I checked before posting.
Still I get milk bottles.
Does anyone have this same issue? I've PM'd Coaltrain1 and asked his opinion but I haven't gotten a reply. Maybe he's busy, or maybe I asked the question incorrectly. So I'm trying here.
Any and all suggestions are welcome! I understand and can execute any file operations that might be needed so don't be afraid to give complex instructions if necessary. PM if you wish.
Thanks, *!!thnx!!*
Best, !*cheers*!

Coaltrain has disappeared and I fear the worst. Let me take a look and see what I can see since I was involved with this.

Those two assets are the Windsor Locks freight and passenger stations. VNHRR\Springfield\scenery\Buildings\stations\WinLox and WinLoxFrt.

I finally figured this out. Apparently, Terry used assets from VNHRR V1.0 on the LSW Extension Route. I uninstalled the V2.0 VNHRR and reinstalled V1.0 and the missing VNHRR assets show up correctly:

2015-07-04_00002.jpg

I found out that the file structure changed between V1.0 and V2.0 of the VNHRR so the LSW was looking for assets in the wrong places. I figured I'd post my findings in case anyone else saw the same symptoms and wanted an answer.
Overall I'm a little disappointed with the LSW Extension. Even after going back to the assets of the V1.0 of VNHRR there are still many missing assets on this route. It would take a lot of work to edit the route to eliminate all the milk bottles that are still visible and replace them with the equivalent assets from current versions of available routes etc. I think I'm going to go back to the latest versions of my routes and not reinstall the LSW. It's too bad because the Extension shows a lot of promise, and there was a lot of effort spent creating it.
These are my opinions and you may feel free to disagree with me. Just keep it civil, please. **!!2cents!!**

It is funny you say that because that walk over there doesn't show up in mine and neither does one of those signs in the background there. All I can say is that to my knowledge it was still a work in progress and there never was any organized effort to get the assets together other than however it was on Terry's machine.

Thanks, Buzz. I guess it really was a WIP, not quite ready for prime time. Well, it was fun playing around with it and I learned a lot about it in the process. Learn something every day! !!*ok*!!
I may play a little more with it as time and will allow.

One thing for sure, we really wanted it to work.
Even with the author disappearing, we spent a lot of time documenting and fixing it.
This happens frequently for new releases, and it speaks a lot for this community.

Yes, Chacal. I recognize the amount of work required to create a route and keep track of all the assets used. I've tried to follow a tutorial on starting a route from Google Earth data and I got completely lost before I had really even gotten started. I guess I don't have the intellectual wherewithal (or maybe just the patience) to start a route from scratch. I can, however, take something that already exists and look at the way it was put together and make changes to either correct errors or make it "my own".
I decided to try to get my copy of the LSW filled out with the required assets. Using RW_Tools I have reduced the number of unique missing scenery assets from 195 to 47. Many of those are from 3DTrains and I fear I may have to wait a while till Marc gets his website squared away again. Tough luck there. I've spent the last several hours downloading a cr@p-ton of files from RWA and UKTS (even paying US$4.85 for a 1-month sub to get immediate download access...) and this has helped me get the missing asset count down. If I can't find some assets at all I'll use RW_Tools to substitute assets I do have. I'm going to keep plugging with this, I'm stubborn that way. **!!bang!!**
I''ll keep posting my results.
Best, !*cheers*!
Marc

BTW - here is a text file of the remaining list:
