Hi all

iv done it managed to get it to work just need to make a few changes here and there il put a screen shot up when im done with it.
thanks for the help im quite happy to have gotten a re skin to work in railworks :D

The texturing of this model is very complicated, so I wouldn't recommend doing anything other than modifying the "UNION PACIFIC" and "U.P." on the tender (the lettering is in the alpha channel of UP484UnionPacific.TgPxDx). However, you'd still have "Union Pacific" on the shield on the front of the smokebox and that's not something you can change, because it's rendered in 3D (you have to go up close to it to appreciate that detail).

still needs a bit of work id like to try and get the lettering a bit clearer but for the minute im happy with it. :D

thats all for now if i get the lettering any better il post a few new pics and go from there

Looking good so far !!*ok*!!

One way to take the rough edges off the letters is to use the "smudge" tool in Photoshop to soften the edges in the alpha, although you might need to enlarge each letter before doing that (to compensate for the smudging).
