Although I'm not familiar with that particular scenario, I have certainly seen turntables shake engines off their bridges. In some cases, pressing the 8 key to detach the camera from the engine has helped, but not always. As you noted, centering the engine on the TT is very important. How are you moving the TT: by clicking within its bed or by pressing G or Shift+G? Since T2015 came out, I've frequently seen turntables whip in one direction, stop rather abruptly, and then start turning in the opposite direction, sometimes resulting in bucking off the engine; have you experienced this?
