Thank you. The buffers will not be present (or will be optional) on specific US liveries. We were quite surprised to find that the original shipments came with buffers and that they weren't added later - they were produced with the European theatre in mind (primarily using hook couplings) so they had buffers fitted , but they still had US buckeye couplings so they could be moved onto the ships for transport out of the USA, and then had hooks added overseas.
It's a non-driveable loco, so can easily be placed on track and in consists.ozinoz wrote:That post is amazing - thanks for the update.
