Hi Gang. I've done some research on this but am struggling. I don't love the interior sounds of the Acela (northeast corridor and new york to new haven) when you're sitting in the coach. It sounds like an airplane going overhead. Is there anyway to swap out the sound from when you're inside the engineer cab. This seems like a much more realistic sound. I just can't find the acela sound file anywhere. Can anyone give me guidance here. Is this even possible.

The Acela sounds are found at RailWorks\Assets\RSC\AcelaPack01not in either route Assets folder. Without looking I would think you could just substitute whatever part of the engine sounds you like for the car sounds.

Hey Buzz, I've never opened an AP file before. Any specific tool that's safe to download for opening such a file. And once opened, I'll see different dsound folders in there?

7zip works just fine. Your computer likely already has it.

OK, addtional questions, I found the specific files but the system won;t let me copy one sound file to another folder. For example, I want to copy the cab sound from the acela cab to the passenger car. But in these folders, when I highlight a folder and right click, I don't see traditional "copy" or "paste" commands. It'll say "copy to". But when I opt to "copy it to" the other folder, that folder doesn;t appear as an option. Are these folder blocked from making any changes to them.
