Sherman Hill default SD70M Horn?

Unread postby kylewoody » Sat Jul 11, 2020 9:35 pm

Hey guys,

I have been trying to change the awful default horn in the base Sherman Hill route for the otherwise nice SD70M. I cannot for the life of me get it to work - has anyone been successful? Normally in the Audi folder there is a Cab folder which has some sort of Horn.bin. The SD70 does not, and it only has a horn in the Exterior sound folder (which I have tried changing but does nothing).

I assume it is reverting/aliasing another horn somewhere but I don't know how to find out. Does anyone have any experience?

Thanks!
Kyle

Solved - my fault, I was saving the new .bin and .dav files in the .AP and rezipping it. Instead, you have to extract whatever folder you want to replace of the assets and have a traditional folder system on your hard drive. I.E. I just made an "Audio/Railvehicles/Diesel/SD70M/Exterior" set of folders. Anything you put in there will trump the zipped .AP file.

Lesson learned.

And will not be overwritten by a file verify or update.
