Payware sounds?

So there are a few people out there making payware sounds. Are they actually worth the $10 or more dollars for sounds? Do they enhance it that much?

Honestly, I wouldn't buy sounds unless I heard them first. Too risky in my opinion... No matter what someone says...

That's what I was thinking too but you still don't know if the video is how the sounds will work. Did they further modify it for the video? just a thought. Being a railroader I have high expectations.

Relatively speaking, yes they are very worth it. They make a stock, boring, but otherwise good model actually playable.

Searchlight Simulations for instance, isn't only sounds, but lights and physics as well. So it's VERY worth it to me.

I know Searchlight Simulations have good sounds just by the many people that go on and on about them.

Videos, I'm sure, can be modified so that people can unjustly make a buck. I think the best idea is to just make sure the site is reputable and safe and then look up reviews for the sounds before purchasing. !!*ok*!! You have the good and you have the bad!

If you haven't, I highly suggest checking out their website and reading the info for each pack. Lots of effort into them. Not to mention they have a few free horn packs too. !!*ok*!!

I can't think of a better compliment than someone saying a video featuring our packs is potentially a dub of real stuff over the video.

As an engineer, making the operating experience as immersive as possible has been a huge goal of mine. RW has its limitations though and if I had the time and money I'd just make my own simulator with both good graphics and immersive accurate physics and audio systems.

Searchlight Simulations is by far the best producer of physics and sound mods for Railworks. I would never doubt their work. !*salute*!

I hope you don't think that was a direct bash at you. I just know that there can be some not so truthful people on the internet. So far Searchlight is the only company I found that makes there own video show casing what they do. Everything else is other peoples posts about sounds but they don't own them so they can't release them. Searchlight seems more legit than anything else I've found.

Oh no, I'm not. I'm saying it's a huge compliment.

For what it's worth, I have all 4 of Searchlight Sim's sound packs. They do a great job with their products, and the support is superb. I would highly recommend.
