HORNWINDOW Proxyxml files

Unread postby OpenRailer90 » Mon Jun 22, 2015 9:02 pm

I've been noticing there being two horn proxyxml's in DTG's newer engines like the CSX AC6000 and the DRGW EMD GP9 in Soldier Summit. How do the proxys differ file structure wise?

There are also EngineWindowSound files.

Are these related to the windows being able to be opened, letting exterior noises into the cab?

I investigated the file structure for the DTG GP9 in Soldier Summit and the sound and horn volumes and file paths are the same. I also heard the exterior sounds can be heard from the cab of the DTM DDA40X, GP50, and GP30 of the windows or doors are opened. I have the MLW/Oovee sounds on the Soldier Summit SD40T-2 and I do not hear the exterior sounds when I open the window.
