Coupling sounds, freight car truck sounds, and locomotive sounds.

Try this one. It comes with a installer and great instructions. There is a very good tutorial in the same sound section on replacing horns also.

Coupler sounds are included in the Krellnut sound package. as far as SD40-2 I recommend you take a look at Oovee Game Studios sound pack. It's the best out there. As of this morning their web sight is down with a problem but the thing is very inexpensive and a great addition. Worth waiting for IMHO.

I found some SD40-2 Sounds on here, i like them Alot! My money is going toward addons right now rather than sounds. Are there any horn replacements for the DEAFULT ES44AC not the Sherman Hill ES44? Every horn replacement ive found is for the Sherman Hill ES44 and i dont know anything about modifying the horn proxy files, i tried, but it screws up the horn, or even reprogramming the proxy for the default 44AC. Im looking for a K5HL UP and BNSF and one fit for the CN ES44DC.

Id also like to find some Wheeling & Lake Erie schemes for the Default SD40-2 (UP model), if there are any avalible.

The trick to editing proxy files is this:
- you need BOTH the proxyxml and the .proxybin files, and they must have the same content.
- open and edit the .proxyxml file in your favorite editor. Before saving, make sure the encoding is ASCII, not Unicode. In a pinch, Notepad will do, but NotePad++ is better.
- then you can convert the .proxyxml file to .proxybin using serz.exe, OR
- open and edit the .proxybin file using RW-Tools, which will take care of the conversion.

So my own workflow is this:
1- Double-click on the .proxyxml file, which opens it in NotePad++. Make changes. Save the file (Ctrl-S). Select and copy all text (Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C). Close Notepad++.
2- Double-click on the .proxybin file, which opens it in RW-Tools. Select and paste all text (Ctrl-A, Ctrl-V). Save the file (Ctrl-S). Close RW-Tools.
