Colton & Northern track sound

Unread postby DapperDan » Thu Dec 26, 2013 4:48 pm

Just picked up this route and have a question. Is there any way to change or get rid of the annoying track sound. Some may like it, but after awhile listening to it while in the cab starts to irritate me. I tried swapping in another engine and that didn't help. Hopefully it's something that could be done without me having to edit a bunch of files, as I'm technically challenged when it comes to that kind of stuff.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It's like that because non-welded track sounds like that!

So, does that mean I can't change or get rid of the annoying sound?

Sure you can. Go into the audio file and get rid of the sound. If you need more info holler back and when I get home tonight I'll find it for you.
!*cheers*!

Without looking too deep yet. I know Allaboard uses scalerail and has his own asset folder for them but the tracks use Kuju default sounds. Just thinking so. Have to find the track bin and see where the audio is pointing to.

Thanks for the responses guys. I suspected this would possibly end up being something well beyond my expertise, and I'm not sure I would really feel comfortable diving into obscure files etc., but I do appreciate the help.

Buzz,

Did you get a chance to look into this? I've been sitting here at my computer since Friday, and I can't feel my legs anymore. !*roll-laugh*!

If you want to get rid of all the track sound for this route, go into; Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\Audio\RailNetwork\TrackBedRumble and delete; BT_StandardBallast. xml.

Will that affect only this route?
