A player can still manually swap out the default DTG sound files for the louder/more defects ones from your original enhancement pack?
If the file names are the same, it should only be a simple drop and replace. Perhaps even your batch files still work if the paths are changed?

All? We are going to get more patient than you think. !*whack*!

What do you mean by that? Your RWA uploaded wagon sounds have a higher (better) volume? !!*ok*!!

I have delayed in the installation of the file. I think it is an instllation I have to be careful.
I had planned not touching Sherman Hill and NS Coal District wagons because of the TS2016 updates.
Should I better go and use the uploaded version for SH and NSCD? !*don-know!*

BTW I realized the gift SD60M has not updated wagon sounds.

Installed tonight and tested several routes. Oh dear! **!!bow!!**
Missing Miami, Soldier. I will set them later.
Maybe I missed something in the installation related with the degree of damaged wheels. I did not touch the settings.
Not sure if I can reinstall with different settings (more squeaks, more volume). !*YAAA*!

You can change them withing the WJ Sound folder. If memory serves the instruction to do that are in there and you can do it any time. Soldier Summit came out after the latest update but there is a patch in the Sounds section of the library to add them there.

Thank you Buzz, !*salute*!
It did as per your instructions. I tried setting 50% and High volume (I wonder which are the default settings of the "normal" installation, set by Krellnut).

The "settings" re-installation only changed a few DLC (with files dated today oct 25th). The others remain with oct 24th.

In the command prompt box saw the word Miami, during this last installation, but there are not updated files there (there is no audio folder for the Miami cars). I have some files updating the Dash 8 physics.

Just to let you know I repeated the settings installation three times.

You are not changing anything in anywhere other than the WJ Sound file, All the stuff is looking there for those settings you have been playing with. I looked at the Krellnut D/L in the library and it says it includes Miami. How new is your Krellnut download?

The routes wagons are then pointing to a proxy in that folder. :D

I downloaded the file about a week ago, but now it is not important. I found the reason for Miami: !*cheers*!
The program tries to install Miami but the folder is Read only. In the first installation the exe ran a subroutine to make all files R/W. It seems it did not work for Miami.

Not sure yet if there is some other missing route, but I have not found any other. I think I have tried some 7 or 8 routes.
And I need to install your Soldier Summit related files.

If I can be of any help with this just tell me !*salute*!

EDIT:
I erased the full previous message.
There is a dedicated zip file for Miami. Installed and working. **!!bang!!**

You may also want to take a look in the Sherman Hill folder. There are two GenericFreightWagon.bin files tucked away in the Sherman Hill folder that need to be replaced. These files are NOT in Krellnut's pack as they are new files DTG created to add his sounds to SH.

Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\ShermanHill\Audio\RailVehicles\GenericFreightWagon\Exterior\GenericFreightWagon.bin
Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\ShermanHill\Audio\Wagons\GenericFreightWagon.bin

Copy Railworks\Assets\WJ Sound\Wagons\Spare Bins And XMLs\ Wagon Freight Sound.bin and rename it to GenericFreightWagon.bin. Then copy into the folders above and overwrite. Or else you will not get Krellnut's original sounds on SH.

Thank you for pointing out to those SH wagons. !!*ok*!!

What takes me to ask a question: What is it better, Krellnut Sherman Hill original sounds (RWA) or Krellnut TS2016 sounds?

And another point I found after installing Miami sounds is that I am having trouble with the CSX coal wagons (gondola) that come with the CSX SD80MAC. Different almost unexisting sounds with very low volume as if some links were broken.

Anyone having that DLC could corroborate my findings? !!det!!

Sherman Hill and TS2015 wagon sounds are the same pack. DTG remastered the sounds(made them quieter). Personally, I think TS2015 sounds are more accurate for volume levels, so I will continue to use that pack.

Good to read this from his author. Thanks !*cheers*!

I asked another question previously. What are your default settings for Defective Wheel & Volume Change (if you don´t use any of the "settings" exe)?

Anyone may add something related to that CSX coal wagon with the CSX SD80MAC DLC?

About the CSX SD80MAC the wagon coal code points to SD40-2LNF_Pack01:

Code: Select all
         <SoundComponent>
            <cSoundComponentBlueprint>
               <ProxyName d:type="cDeltaString">DTG\SD40-2LNF_Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Wagons\Wagon Coal</ProxyName>
               <Type d:type="cDeltaString">RailVehicle</Type>
            </cSoundComponentBlueprint>
         </SoundComponent>

It could be a link chaining. I don´t know if this could be the problem as the WJ Sound folder is not in the path.

All the other wagons of the DLC have the same links.

You are looking in the wrong place. You need to look in the Audio folder to see what it says.

Oh yes! I forgot to mention. It says the same. !*hp*!
If I understood well, Krellnut installer copies the audio file to the CSX SD80MAC folder in TS2016 (SD80MACPack01)

EDIT:
I replaced this line of code:
Code: Select all
<ProxyName d:type="cDeltaString">DTG\SD40-2LNF_Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Wagons\Wagon Coal</ProxyName>

by
Code: Select all
<ProxyName d:type="cDeltaString">WJ Sound\Wagons\Audio\Wagon Freight</ProxyName>

to all 4 wagons of CSX SD80MAC and they have the right sounds.
