That's good to know. I bought them all today and I'm having fun testing them out. !*brav*!

Believe me, I was a little skeptical at first myself. But then I won the GEVO pack during a contest they did and never doubted anything they did since! When they come out with the SD40-2 pack it will be a first day purchase for me!

I'm still waiting for someone to do none turbo EMD sounds. The 645 or 567 EMD prime movers would be great.

That's the supercharged EMDs right, like the GP38-2s?

Searchlight sounds are amazing! The horns are created to make them sound different from various distances in game. The physics in their packs can bea bit tricky when operating engines at first but you get the hang of it.
A single track mind without proper signalling is a mind bound to derail.

Yea I'm enjoying it. There definitely is a learning curve with the new physics.

JohnS wrote:So there are a few people out there making payware sounds. Are they actually worth the $10 or more dollars for sounds? Do they enhance it that much?

They enhance our game most certainly, as we don't get them in the core game from DTG, but, no way should we, the customer/end-user, be charged vastly over-inflated prices for these 3rd party products.

Cheerz. ex.
i7 10700k 3.8GHz Eight Core CPU, Gigabyte Z590 AORUS ELITE AX, 32GB RAM, nVidia RTX3060ti 8GB, WIN10 PRO 64-bit. 10TB HDDs in total.

Ex, why do you say these are " vastly over-inflated prices"? Is someone forcing you to buy any or all of this stuff?

I THINK he feels that for the cost of the add-ons and core game, we should already have this caliber of sounds. Since we don't and someone has taken the time to learn the Format of the sound files and have created these I don't mind paying say $5 dollars for quality. I bought the Searchlight Sound packs and don't regret it one bit. Plus, Searchlight did a lot more than just add new sounds. He has rescripted the physics added new lights and some other things I don't know about. I have edited sound files and xml files and it sucks so i'll happily give Anthony my $10 for his work.
