Which F7 are you talking about, the RSC one or Britkits or which?

Keep us posted. In that case I'm not sure why that would have done anything since those were unchanged from the previous release.

If i can remember correctly the 1b sound set fixed a few isssues that were present with the horseshoe curve coal wagons and the Great Northern F7 and GN GP9 freight wagons as well but after i installed the 2015 sounds i tried a scenario with the GN F7 i got a dump file then went back and tried after clearing the cache and tried one on HSC using the coal wagons same dump message so i guess it was worse than i thought but other than the sounds are terrific they work well with everything else to add

I've checked the path for the HorseshoeCurve and EmpireBuilderPack01 in the 2015 sound set and they are spot on. Sub folder names and file names match exactly what was in the 3.1b update. So, you are good to go there at least.

i sure wish that was the case everything was working fine i installed the new sounds the first sign of trouble was the dump file with the GN F7 and then just to make sure i tried 4 different scenarios on HSC every last one of em using the coal wagons that was fixed in the 31,b sound set gave me the dump error..so i decided enough was enough and decided to start fresh again..outside of those 2 issues everything else was just fine and dandy i guess i let frustration get the best of me this time and i just trashed all 125 gigs of railworks and started over

Just so you don't think you are going nuts, I have the same issue with HSC however at this time I don't think the sound update is what caused it. I loaded the F7 and all the cars onto Marias pass in a free roam and there were no problems so I'm not sure what's up with that. Investigating. !!det!!

After the dump message with the Empire Builder Pack 1 i was able to uninstall it and reinstall it that fixed that issue just no sounds were present...so i was thinkin i was all over the trouble i went to HSC and choose a random workshop scenario and i knew it had the HSC coal wagon fix from 31.b and blam instant dump ...so i restarted railworks chose one of the default scenario that came with HSC using the coal wagons blam another dump this would continue twice more i had no issues whatsoever getting HSC to load properly now i could skip around on HSC and play the more modern workshop scenarios with the modern freight wagons and the new sounds and they were just fine.....and BTW Mr Buzz just for a try if you can try the GP9 that came with the empire builder pack 1 i think it has freight wagons as well

OK, here is the fix. I can only comment on my rig but somehow the bin file in the RSC\HorseshoeCurve\RailVehicles\Freight\Hopper_H21a\Default got screwed up. If there is a Hopper_H21a. xml file delete it. Then unzip and substitute this bin file for the one in there and see if that fixes everything. I have sounds also.

Hopper_H21a.zip

Nice work, Wally! If you didn't already have such excellent rolling stock audio, I have a few clips of random junk from when I carried my recorder on me when doing a shove on different types of cars and making joints n such.

Good find, Buzz. It seems that both Hopper_H21a.bin and Hopper_H21a.xml pertain to WJ Sound files. There is no hopper car at all in both these files.
Indeed, Wagon Sound v2015 contains both broken files.

A small error on Krellnut's part? Better be corrected soon as it breaks HSC for that hopper is used in all scenarios.

Oh the woes of getting old. I'm now remembering about this car. I think the wrong file was put in for this car, and Buzz got it to stage 1. Believe it or not, this car was released by RSC without sounds aliased to it. Here is the fix for it. Someone please confirm that it works because I don't have the route. Thanks.

Edit. This is the second attachment, the first one was wrong. Please try again. The car sound is aliased to; Kuju\RailSimulatorUS. Make sure that is applied to the scenario.
