Is it possible to add your own custom audio sounds to a route? If so can someone tell me how please?

Not sure what you mean. I have messed around with the audio folder and put one in, but I have not tested yet.

I'm talking about the ambient sounds that can be placed in routes. (Industrial, Mountains, River, etc.) Not sure if I can make my own.

I'm fairly familiar with sounds. The only think I have yet to learn is how to add a sound to a proxyxml and make a completely new sound that has its independent proxybin/xml.

Okay, I tried to copy the bin, proxyxml, and proxybin and rename everything to read each other, but that didn't work.

Have you read the developer docs, available herein the RWA file library?
More precisely, 8.01 Audio Control and Blueprints.pdf
