CSX AC6000 Cab

I have been trying to change some sounds in the cab for my own preference, such as the alerter (trying to put a real deadman sound) and change the cab radio. I'm used to changing sounds and know what to do but i have hit a wall. Its like the alerter and radio wont read a .wav format, cause after i get into the game and when the alerter goes off the sound doesnt play and neither does the radio (this is one im confuzzled on because radios are the easiest to change) Has anyone else tried to change them? I could be overlooking something silly, any help is appreciated.
