New York - New Haven Route Track Sounds - Are They Correct?

Unread postby FHRob » Fri Jan 23, 2015 4:44 pm

I'm trying to ascertain if the track sounds on NY to NH are prototypical. I live in the area, but haven't been on this route in many years, so I'd appreciate some feedback.

It seems as if the "clacking/track joint" sounds are too mechanical, i.e. too precise. I'd say the sounds are analogous to a live drummer vs. a drum machine. The small differences a human drummer makes in the beat will always IMHO sound better than the stiffness of a drum machine. **!!2cents!!**

Thanks,

Rob :D

'Scuse me, but if you live in the area, why not carry out a bit of field testing and report back?

I want to change out the track sounds, as they don't even sound realistic to what track sounds should sound like.

Many drum track recordings today are programmed by a live drummer , but in the actual recording session, are played on a drum machine.
