Really need help with horns or .dav files!

Unread postby jeffg205 » Sat Dec 28, 2013 8:04 pm

I have really been trying to figure out how to change those default horns, such as the k3 that comes on the sd40s & es44s I did not see any files in the folder to change out, & also I recently purchased to NS High Hoods & NS SD70ACe Heritage pack, all of the sound files are in .dav format sadly, unsure of how to change them, because the horns that come on them arent the best, & the high hood uses the default k3la horn. I saw a couple videos but didn't explain enough, if any one could help i would be thankful! Thanks'

Heres a short vid of mine also

There are loads of discussions about horns in the RWA forums. You will find them using the forum search function.
There are also several replacement horns in the file library.
For example there is an excellent RS3L quilled horn for the SD40-2, by Searchlight.

Here's a horn install tutorial that's available in the file library.

It's what I used after downloading some of the excellent horn packs that are on this site. Does a pretty good job of explaining what needs to be done and where.

You can get it from here also if you find that other forum to be as big a pain as I do.
