Rw tools will not run

My old version of RW tools failed to run with a "Library not registered" error. Deleted and installed V5.0.0076. I still have the error.
Error #2147319779. Any help would be appriciated. Also failed to find the .ocx files in system32, There were these files in syswow64.

That error number is a windows error, not a RW_Tools error message. However it is probably caused by RW_Tools not being installed as administrator?

1. Try downloading the full version of v5.0.76 from my web site, unzip it to a temporary folder and right click on the file Inst_RW_Tools5076.exe and select 'Run as administrator' from the pop-up menu. This should correctly install and register all the .ocx files in Windows\Syswow64

2. You should then have a fully installed copy of RW_Tools - right-click on RW_Tools.exe and select Properties/Compatability and tick the box 'Always run this program as administrator' and all should be OK.

No go! Same issue. I thought I had installed as Admin before but wanted to be sure. Thanks anyway.

James, what version of Windows are you running? Is it up to date (all MS critical updates)? Mike is right, those errors are Windows errors. If you have the Windows install CD you can do a repair, but one quick thing to try is to run CCleaner: https://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER Run the regular Cleaner, then also run the Registry tool. Also you can manually go to Windows Update and let it search your PC, see if anything is missing.

Windows version is Vista 64 SP2. All updates are installed except one. A small update which failed to install. Ran MS fix it tool and files was indicated as installed. But looking at installed updates shows it failed. Virus deep scan shows no issues. Can not run the CD as packed away for move. Will try this later. Never had a failed Win update before.

actually, after the move I thivk I will get a new unit. This one is 6 yrs old and the best option is to replace..
