Back story (please be brief):
In the early 1900's America launched into the industrial age with a fervor unrivaled in human history. Factories sprang up all across America. Henry Ford, a brilliant engineer in his own right invented the assembly line and industry in general has never been the same. Steel making moguls adopted Henry's assemply line principles too and from them came the modern and familiar integrated steel mill. Steel being too heavy to be transported by ordinary means turned to the railroads to do all the heavy lifting. Integrated steel mills grew to be larger than most industries ever could, leaving onlookers awestruck of their tremendous size. Meanwhile the railroads were became the lifeblood of this industry.

Ohio Steel 2 puts you in the position of an engineer who gradually makes his way through up through the ranks and eventually into the cab of a steel mill engineer. Both Ohio Steel Dover and the new expansion to Massillon are included in this new All Aboard route package, Ohio Steel 2. The original 15 scenarios that came with Dover are included with fifteen new scenarios for Ohio Steel 2. The 3 original freeroam scenarios for Dover are included too, but now there's a total of 8!

In addition to the steel mill itself which offers an endless amount of switching, there are approximately 10 new industries to switch along the Dover and Massillon mainline. But that's not all. Ohio Steel 2 also includes its own turntable in Massillon so there is turntable at each end of the route. Bringing all this together is the manual, 33 pages which includes history, background information, charts, tables and route schematics.

Ohio Steel 2 is like several routes in one. The overall focus of the route is about steel making. From the supply of raw materials to the steel mill. Into and out of the steel mill. And then to the finishing mills, manufacturing and/or beyond. All this is compressed into a six different branch or mainlines. The steel mill itself is a complex array structures with enough track to satisfy being called a route itself!

Requirements!

The Ohio Steel - Dover Divsion route requires add-ons for you to get the full effect of the beautiful scenery of the route. Please note that the extra add-ons are available from their respective sites.

From 3dTrains.com, you will need:

1) Rural Landscapes
2) Scale Roads - previous purchasers please be aware an update is available to Scaleroads which you will need or some scenery items will be missing.

Important! If you already have these add-ons, you don't need to purchase them again.

Ohio Steel 2 includes both an upgraded Ohio Steel: Dover route and new Massillon extension. The installation does not overwrite the previous sale of the Ohio Steel (Dover) route nor does it use anything from it. You may even remove it and I would recommend it (if you have it). The download file size of Ohio Steel 2 is approximately 140 megs and installs (after unzipping)as all add-on Railworks do.

If God had intended for man to fly, He wouldn't have given us the railroads.
