Moscow Camden & San Augustine 1920s

Unread postby GreatNortherner » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:36 pm

Freeware or Payware: freeware

What to do (Switching, hauling, both): Wayfreight and plenty of switching.

Where is it set: A lumber hauling shortline between Camden and Moscow in Texas.

What time-frame: Steam era (freelanced). It can be easily used for modern day activities too.

Where to get it (include link): Here in the RWA file library (search tag: GreatNortherner-MCSA_1920s) or at trainsim.com
Please note -- there is another version of this route, labeled version 1.3. This is the original, modern-day version of this route and runs as a seperate route in Railworks. This 1.3 version of the route has not received a TS2012 update.

Back story (please be brief): This is a prototypical route, based on a 7-mile shortline serving a lumber mill in Camden, Texas, linking it with the Southern Pacific at Moscow, TX. It includes seven miles of woodland branchline trackage, a mainline interchange yard, and a lumber mill with an own small yard. Two depots and one flagstop are present on the shortline. There is a small roundhouse with steam facilities at Camden. The route includes many interactive transfer points (bulk freight loader and unloader, several freight docks, and container cranes).
