Hello,

We have had at least two repaints of the smooth-side Business/Observation car that comes in the MSTS Conversion pack done by Buzz Baxter, here on this site. "UP Smooth business car" and "CSX business car".

Well, I would like to suggest that those same repaints, and possibly more, be done again. Only this time using the smooth-side Business/Observation car that comes with the new Machine Rail Frisco (SLSF) T54 Northern ( https://www.machine-rail.com/product-pa ... rrency=USD ).

The following Business/Observation car's, with 4-wheel trucks (bogies), are part of the UP Heritage fleet. ( "Feather River" #114, "Cheyenne" #103 and "St. Louis" #100. ) The CSX has the "West Virginia" #CSXT 994310. And I have found a photo of the PRR's #120. (Note, I would like to see these repaints, if done, match the paint on the existing G-TraX passenger cars, if available.)

I like the the sheen on these.

i would absolutely love to reskin the machine rail cars but for some reason, they made them so unfriendly to reskin. first off the lettering is not a decal but part of the body texture and (for some reason) is burned into the normal map, meaning even if you get rid of the frisco lettering in the texture, you still have a slight frisco sheen on the texture due to the normal map. I attached a screenshot to show what I mean.

I see. Well, if anyone can figure out how to fix that issue, I'd still like to see the repaints done. But, if it's just to difficult to fix, I'll understand.

I don't think it's burned into the normal layer however it is in the alpha channel so one would have to go into there and wipe out the lettering there. What do these offer up that already was done in the MSTS conversion cars?

It's just a better quality model. Even if we ignore redoing the repaints that already exist for the MSTS conversion model, it would still be nice to see some repaints done of this model. Specifically the existing "real" UP business/observation cars I listed above. They would be great with the other UP heritage cars you just recently released.

I can try the Pennsylvania RR livery later on.
