Better versions of repaints

So I've been looking at a lot of rollingstock that I have and decided that I'd rather not use them since the repaints are old and/or of poor quality compared to more modern repaints. I'm talking about stuff like digirails and some other repaints that may or may not be from the file library (no offense to any of the uploaders or digirails). The problem with digirails is how they use the old style of pasting on textures onto a locomotive instead of overlaying colors onto a model, which in turn causes a permanent lighting problem as well as very low quality looks. Many of digirail's repaints could be possibly redone onto newer rollingstock such as ABStudios's autoracks and tank cars, JR/Searchlight Simulation's rollingstock, or Mainelines's rollingstock. Well maybe not using modern freight cars, but like just making better quality versions of repaints on its respective equipment.

Just use what you like, but no need to criticize a person's contributions here...

This was not a criticism of the person, this was just my opinion on a fact. Just as EngineerTJ gave his opinion on repaints of digirail.
You should be able to deal with the opinion of others, that includes the acceptance of other views.

You're afraid of it being nasty and it was a respectful opinion in my book. This is why good people I've chatted with have flocked to other forum outlets where both respectful positive and negative comments can be expressed.

This is not and should not be North Korea !*roll-laugh*!

This is not North Korea in any way. It's just about good manners something that seems to be lost in today's society by many individuals. If that offends some snowflakes that many of us think one should think before one types then so be it. The people that have 'flocked' away from here are generally not missed. This is NOT directed at any individuals currently or past on this forum. It is directed at a society that has in so many ways lost respect for one another.

I just want some upgrades man. I can't even use the Rock Island U30C, L&N U30C, or B&M U30C because the locomotive isnt available. Could be fixed by making those repaints onto the Chessie u30c, but we have other repaints being made. In due time those upgrades will come, but not if I didn't bring attention to it. Btw John you're not helping.

Which model would you like this on and which one do you want first?

I agree with Buzz. It's much better to ask for specific models and supply pictures. I have trouble keeping up with what's no longer available too.

Well the Chessie System U30C is really the only one it could go on as of now.

Like these, which aren't usable due to the VRC store being down.

How about this one. Part of the last package from DTM. The package is the GE U33C SP however it contains both a SP and UP like the one pictured.

**!!2cents!!** I just want to say I check out Digirails as often as RWA and Searchlight Simulations. I still run a lot of their models and enjoy the variety of options from all repainters.
