CSX OCS Car???

Buzz just recently repainted the G-trax lwt cars into Union Pacific scheme. And said they were repaint friendly.
Anybody better than me at repainting rolling stock? If so, I have a request, one of any of the CSX OCS cars. I’d love to see these in-game *!!thnx!!*

OMG! That's hilarious as just this week, I started a new project!

Let's see how things go.

Of course the masters here at RWA will likely create something finer...but I'm gonna give it a go.

To experiment, I was starting by using the ACF Chair Car under Kuju.

Just about done with the UP ARDEN. Touch that top stripe up on the back and I think that's about all we're going to get out of this model. After messing with it for a hour or so I changed it to a 2048x2048 format. Lines and lettering were just too fuzzy. It looks a lot better for what it is. *!greengrin!*

Looking good Buzz!

One thing, I don't know if you were already thinking this, but maybe change the blue windows to a dark gray or grayish black that looks more like tinted windows? The real cars (Or at least the one used most recently behind 4014's train.) have pretty dark tint on the windows. I don't know what the original creator was thinking when they picked blue for the glass. But either way, that's looking good and matching up to the G-TraX car very well. *!!thnx!!*

I think I'm done with this for now. I'm going to make it so you just drop it right in there the existing one is located so all you need to do is replace the textures. If those of you following this think it's OK I'll upload it to the library. Just backup your three texture files by doing like at the end of of the file .orig and then drop these three files into the texture folder and you should see the new version.

Great Job, Thanks Buzz!! *!!thnx!!*

And CSXAC60CW, sorry if we took over your post here, it was unintentional. I do want to see the CSX cars done as well. Looking at the photo you posted, it's obvious that that car is a heavyweight car that was streamlined a bit to match later cars. That being said, you either need the BritKits heavyweight observation/Business car (If you want that undercarriage.), or you need the one that Buzz just repainted above (If you want the roof and open-end look.). That car is part of the MSTS Conversions pack that can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/7jjq332cc ... s.rwp/file

Well, I've made some considerable progress on my CSX OCS cars.

First off, I've rethought my plans and have been working with the free G-Trax cars from Maritime set , as they are much easier to work with and they have three different cars in the that set: Diner, Coach, Sleeper so that provides some interesting variations with which to work.

I also have been able to remove the name and numbers from the cars as well, an important part of the process as all repainters know.

So, here's a few shots of the cars so far. Keep in mind that the CSX OCS cars underwent a number of variations in schemes and so I have been testing some different styles out to see which I like best - though I'll likely build a full set with the variations included.

Anyway, here's my WIP shots...

First up are the two darker schemes - final stripe placement is still in progress. This was just basic set ups for cars.
